French Apple Pie
This is a traditional French Apple Pie recipe.

Crust
- 3/4 cup flour
- 5 tbsp butter
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp almond powder
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- vanilla extract
Apple Sauce
- 3 apples
- 2 tbsp sugar
- vanilla extract or cinnamon
Prepare the crust
Combine the butter, powdered sugar, almond powder, vanilla extract and salt.
Add the egg and mix.
Add the flour and mix.
Roll the crust and let it rest for one hour in the fridge.
Prepare the apple sauce
Peel the apples and cut them into quarters.
Place the apples in a saucepan on medium heat for 20 minutes.
Mix the apples.
Increase to high heat and stir continuously for few minutes.
Let it cool down entirely.
Prepare the pie
Preheat the oven at 350ºF.
Roll the crust and blind bake for 15 minutes.
Spread the apple sauce on the crust.
Place the sliced apples.
Bake for 1h15.
